See me in that sea of fireworks?

1, 2, 3, 4....and I am not referring to counting money because the more you have the more excited you get-instead I am talking working out at the gym and counting the ridiculous amount of sit-ups you have to do everyday in order for your stomach to toughen up-yeah, right. While you still get some good solid satisfaction from pushing yourself that very last yard or mile-it's not like counting the bucks, especially when it's enough to buy up some new kicks. I need new kicks.

For the past 3 months I have been going to the gym about 5 times a week on average. I have not lost a single pound. This hasn't slowed me down because I know myself and I know that for the first 3 months my body has to go through this stage where it refuses to really show me progress. So, here I am 3 months later and feeling so much better about myself even though I haven't lost the weight. That is so important to me. Now, I wait for some inches to decrease and some pounds to come off. Being at the gym every morning has been a combination of learning experiences.

1. I learned that I don't hate Feist. I sort of want to though because ALL of her songs belong in commercials. This is my very own personal opinion. I just thought she was annoying. BUT while at the gym-I have been forced to watch her latest video on a couple of occasions and now I watch it because she is so damn cute and I want to dance around in a sea of fireworks.

2. I have learned for possibly the millionth time that I don't really see results until after 3 months. for serious. It's okay though because I feel sooooo much better mentally and
and physically.

3. Aside from my everyday workout shoes, I need kicks that are cute and not all boring.

4. Working out in the morning has proven to be my savior.

5. Those tiny total gym babes exist and some of them are just not that nice.

I totally agree about Feist

Good for you about the work outs. Seriously that's tough (you're a tough chica though:))

Stupid not nice tiny gym bitches!

I'm getting new shoes too! A lady at my boot camp swears by Fit Right on NW 23rd. I guess they do a whole gait analysis via treadmill to make sure you get the right shoe. I'm planning on visiting this week, wanna come?

Aw man, I just went! Just now seeing your reply. I got some sweet new Adidas. They have purple on them.

I'm glad I went to Fit Right. They do a gait analysis to find out what kind of shoe you need. Very helpful.

you should find a gym in a retirement center like me...then you feel HOT! when the dud next to you is 85 and a lady goes by in scooter and then a woman with a walker behind you. it also makes you feel like you are super athletic and fit. :)

i need new shoes too.
everytime i get off the treadmill my back aches...how is that possible that walkng hurts your back.

oh and the other good thing about the retirement center...none of them can work the tv's or have headphones so you get like 4 tvs to yourself! and all the people magazines are always in the rack!
seriously it rocks.

i go there because the skinny gym babes would keep me out. i can't take that feeling i get when they are around. i won't even look inside my husbands gym because i don't want to see what in there.

good for you to keep it up for over 3 months now. it will show pretty soon! it has to...right?
have a great day today!
